I decided to participate in the March sketch challenge over at Craft Project Central. For this challenge I used Island Indigo card base, layered with Twitterpated DSP, Apothacary Art stamp set and a bow made from Melon Mambo striped organdy ribbon. The image is colored with markers and the greeting popped up with dimensionals. I used the Labels Collection framelits and then did a little paper piercing around the larger label. Basic pearls were added to the center of the flowers on the greeting. Thanks, Amanda for such a fun sketch.

Easter Pop Up card...

This was the second card we made in class. The card base is the Pop n' Cuts from Stampin'Up. I just love the way the base tucks into itself to stay neatly closed. The inside pop up is the Lucy Labels die from Elizabeth Crafts. We used the Every Bunny stamp set from last year but now retired. Bummer, it is such a cute stamp set. The paper is Martha Stewart Baby Girl multimedia pad. The colors worked so perfectly for an Easter card. The ladies stamped on Whisper White, colored the images using the Stampin'Up markers and then with much moaning and groaning, fussy cut all the images. Some of the images were popped up to add dimension. This card was so much fun to make as the possibilities are endless.
Check out the Karen Burniston website to see all of her pop up designs. You can also like her on Facebook and see what everyone is doing with these dies. Scrappn'Savvy in Spring carries all of the Elizabeth Craft dies and accessories.
Thanks for taking a peek and enjoy!

This is the Swing card we made at our card class Friday night. It uses the Elizabeth Crafts Butterfly Pivot Card die set. This is a new die from CHA this year.
It was fun watching the ladies do this card. Once you have the card folded properly it is a piece of cake to decorate, BUT getting to that point was so funny. They all did a great job though and hopefully had fun doing it.
Sympathy cards

Yesterday I went to an all day crop with a few friends. What a great bunch of ladies and all so very talented. I had such a nice time although I didn't get much accomplished at the crop.
I needed to make a sympathy card for a dear friend of my Mother's .
I used the Love & Sympathy and Simply Sketched stamp sets. Both were perfect for these cards.
The DSP was a free item from the Sale-a-bration catalog. Love these papers. The ribbon is from the Clearance Rack. I also stamped the envelopes to give an added touch. Enjoy!
