Scraptabulous Crop

We had twelve crafters today at the Scraptabulous Crop for June.  Four new ladies joined us for the first time.  It was great getting to know them and hope they will join us for future crops.  Maxine was busy making embellishments for scrap book pages, cards and paper projects.  She kept us entertained with her animal stories.  Our cheeks and stomachs hurt from laughing so hard. Some of the other ladies worked on those special themed scrap books while others made card projects.  Two of the new ladies were making the Laura Denison telephone album.  Lots of work but when finished will be a work of art.  Joyce was a happy camper winning the door prize and will be heading to Archiver's very soon to spend her gift certificate.  Overall it was a fantastic day doing what we love to do, eating, laughing and playing with paper.  Until next time, stay safe!

ARThaven

As promised I took a few photographs of my newly finished ARThaven.   It is so much brighter and more organized than ever before.

I painted the walls a light taupe with white woodwork.  All the storage units are in white.

Along one wall I have units with three drawers each.  I have all my dies, stamp sets, paper and odds and ends here.  The tall cabinet in the corner holds misc tools and supplies.  This will be where I do all the die cutting.

Timothy will be putting in bucket lightening above this work table and track lightening over the crafting table in the center of the room in the near future.  The closet doors will be covered with cork for extra pin up space.

The wall unit holds my Cricut machine, cartridges, paper stacks and SU catalogs.  Very close with easy access.  The black storage bins hold crafting supplies of every description.

The table in the center allows at least two extra people to share the space and possibly three.  It will be tight but manageable.

Under the window, I have my eye on a narrow table with several shelves.  This will hold both printers with extra storage underneath.  I plan to get a white wooden blind for the window but right now I am enjoying all the natural  light coming in.  I have a good view of the backyard also.

Tom added three shelves in a nook just inside the room to house all my scrapbook albums.  They were hidden away in the closet before and almost impossible to get at.  Now they are handy if needed.  There is room for extra shelves if the need arises.

I hope you enjoyed your tour of my ARThaven.  Maybe someday you can come play.  The door is always open.  Until next time, stay safe and happy crafting.

Good Morning!

A happy Memorial Day to all of you.  It's been beautiful here in Katy, Texas these past few weeks.  Spring has gone and Summer is here.  Our temps are beginning to soar.

My ARThaven is now finished but for a few small odds and ends.    I am very pleased with the way it turned out.  I have lots of space to do my die cutting now and all the dies are stored neatly and within easy access.  The storage of my dies is my most favorite part of the room.   I use to waste so much time hunting for a certain tool, now everything has a place, hidden from sight but within easy reach.  The new work table will accommodate at least two friends.  With a small room, this was no easy feat. It will still be tight but much better.   I will post photos eventually.

Our Scraptablous Crop is a go this month.  We have ten crafters meeting at the Hampton Inn on June 2nd for a full day of paper crafting.  This will be a perfect time for me to get started on all the convention swaps for the SU convention in July.   Hoping to get a lot accomplished at the crop.

The new SU catalog is here.  We will be able to order from it on June 1st.  I have already made my wish list but keep adding to it  every time I open the catalog.   I guess all of us are the same way, we want it ALL!  I do have a wish list form I found on the Stampin' Connection site making it so easy.  If anyone is interested, let me know and I will send you the form.  Email me at:  peingram@comcast.net.

Next time, I promise to share photos of my ARThaven and maybe a card or two.  Until then, enjoy your Memorial Day weekend with your family and friends.
