Valentine Cards.....

Last weekend I attended a card class given by a friend and sister SU demonstrator.  We made three Valentine cards using the new Hearts a Flutter stamp set and matching framelits from the Spring mini catalog.   The butterfly card was made using the Beautiful Butterfly Bigz die and the Scallop Square Bigz die, both from SU.  The butterfly is unique and has three layers, one made from the box the SU supplies come in, one from the packing paper used in the box, and then one of just plain card stock.  The three are layered together using dimensionals. The butterfly was embossed and then inked to give it added dimension.   We used the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits on the heart card with the new two toned ribbon in Pink Pirouette/Rose Red.  All three cards were fun and easy to do.  Enjoy!

Cowboy boot....

I made this darling cowboy boot last evening using another file from SVGcuts.com.  The file is new and called Happy Trails.  The boot is about 8' tall and is made out of card stock and patterned paper by SU.  It wasn't hard to make but the sole.of the boot gave me a few problems.   A little distress ink made it okay in the end.  This would make a cute accent piece with wildflowers sticking out of the top of the boot dontcha think?
Enjoy!

Valentine's paper crafts......

I've been wanting to make this lollipop garden ever since I found the file over at SVGCuts.  It was fun and super easy.  My cutting machine cuts out everything, a little glue here and there, presto, a cute little garden with lollipop tulips.  I made this one for a little friend of mine up in Montgomery.

This is another file from SVGCuts.com.  It is a Valentine mail box.  The box stands about 7 1/2 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide.  The box is large enough to hold a small gift or to store all your special Valentines.  James will give this one to his teacher.

I cased these little Valentine Treat containers from a friend last week at our crop.  She was using premade envelopes but I just used a 12' x 12' piece of card stock cut into 6' x 6' squares.  I added a Russel Stover Valentine chocolate heart and tied it up with twine and a heart tag. These will be perfect treats for James to share with his classmates.   He is putting his name on all the hearts.

Check out  SVGCuts.com and take a peek at all the neat cutting files.  There is something for everyone and for every occasion.
