February Card Swap

We don't have a proper name for our card swapping ladies group but I do think this is something we need to work on in the future.  For now I will just call us the CSL

We met last evening at Beck's Prime on Dairy Ashford to eat, chatter and swap our cards.  BTW the food was wonderful, the chatter non-stop, and the cards, as always, beautiful!

Our theme for the month was a masculine card using any greeting.  Starting on left we have Amanda's card.  Check out her blog at Theadventuresofgoldilocks.blogspot.com.  You won't be disappointed, she shares some beautiful cards.  Next is Michele's, Casey, Susan, Cece.  Center Patsy and bottom Mary.  Mary also gave each of us s small heart ornament in honor of Valentine's Day.

We also had a visitor join us last evening.  Carolyn wanted to check out what we do and what a card swap was all about.  I'm sure she will be joining us for future card swaps.

It was a fun evening and all the cards were lovely.  Check out our group site on Facebook to learn more about what we do and how we play.  Scraptabulous Crops & Swaps.
Until next time.............

Valentine Card Class......

A week ago I had a card class featuring three Valentine cards.  These cards were super easy to make and we were done in just under an hour.

Two of the cards used the new Designer Series Paper pack called More Amore from the Spring Mini.  This paper is so fresh and clean and also includes the Laser-cut sheet used on the card below.

I used the heart framelit on the top card cutting out just the DSP.  I used the heart border punch down the side then layering it on the base.  The Tasteful Trims die was used down the side with pearls.  Smaller hearts were layered onto Whisper White after greeting stamped.  All were popped up in center of framelit opening.  I used a single pearl on the smallest heart.

I layered the laser-cut heart on the DSP, added a greeting and some ribbon and the middle card was finished.  Easy Peasy!

This last card was a case.  The base card is embossed with the Adorning Accents heart folder.   Cut the papers into strips and punched out the hearts.  Added to base leaving a small gap.   Embellished with gems.  Enjoy!
